Today marks the day for C’s last pre-school session until September. That means he’s been attending for 6 whole months now. Time really does fly by doesn’t it? I remember writing his pre-school milestone post just after I dropped him off for his first ever afternoon, and it really doesn’t feel like 6 months ago. On his first day he ran with such confidence and excitement and ~I can honestly say he has continued to do just that. I haven’t ever dropped him off and had to leave him watching me walk out in tears, or grab hold of my leg and not let me go. He has always gone in, kissed me goodbye and gone on to see what kind of adventures they have set up for him that day. In the beginning when I had collected him I asked what had he been up to and he would tell…

Can you believe the first month of the year has already gone? Usually January is a month that drags for me, especially after such a busy lead up to Christmas .. however this January was completely different …. this January we had something special to countdown to. January 18th 2016 has been a special date in our diary for a while now. It was the due date for my new Nephew. My sister & brother in laws were expecting their first baby. A long awaited baby I might add, so the month ticked by nice and quickly whilst we waited on his arrival. On Thursday 21st January we welcomed our little nephew into the world and I had the absolute pleasure of witnessing his birth. I feel completely honoured to have been a part of something so special. I have been through labour and birth twice myself but seeing what happens…

Today was the day Caiden started pre-school. We visited a few times back last Summer and put his name down for him to start in January ….. I can’t tell you how fast that time has gone. I’ve been feeling mixed emotions over the past few weeks as this date has been nearing. I had at one point thought about phoning and delaying him until Easter – I just wanted to keep hold of him that bit longer before I had to share him. But that was for my benefit, not for his, and I realised that a few weeks before Christmas. One day he announced “Mummy I want to go to my school” He described the place and what he remembered which I thought was pretty impressive seeing as we hadn’t been there since June! He was all set to take his pajamas off and get going. He broke…

Yesterday marked another little milestone in C’s life. We went to visit and have a look around his prospective pre-school. He’s currently 2yrs 9 months and technically this pre-school would take him from now. However up until yesterday I was keen to get his name down for January onwards. January will be the term after his third Birthday and therefore he will qualify for the 15 hours free childcare per week. They did have places for him from September but i’m unsure wether I wan’t to send him so soon. We have only just moved to an area where there is loads for us to do and having been living somewhere beforehand where there was literally nothing for us during the week. I want to spend between now and next January enjoying what we have around us and spending the time together having fun – I feel that sending him…
