Cruising on MSC Bellissima has plenty to offer for families. From the spacious cabins to the entertainment onboard. I recently spent the weekend on board this beautiful ship and being a parent of two, who has a big age gap, I was really impressed with the amount there was to do onboard for children that suit all ages. Family Accommodation. MSC Bellissima offers 175 cabins suitable for families. I stayed in a cabin that can suitably sleep up to four. It had a double bed and a sofa that converted into a bunk bed for the  3rd and 4th beds. It was very spacious and there was plenty of room. Due to the position of my cabin and it being on the corner I had an ample sized balcony as well. I stayed on Deck 10, Seaside Evo and I had cabin 10178 if anyone was doing any research into cabins for…

Last weekend I was invited to Southampton for the naming ceremony the newest MSC ship – MSC Bellissima. I was invited onboard for two nights with the naming ceremony being on Saturday 2nd March. This is part one of my MSC Bellissima blog series – stay tuned for lots more to follow. MSC Bellissima is the largest ship to have launched in the port of Southampton in England and to date the largest ship for the MSC fleet. I had received my ‘message’ in a bottle a few weeks ago so I could have my very own Sophia Loren moment to retrieve my invite. It was such a good idea and sparked much excitement from everyone. The naming ceremony was held in a marquee on the quay alongside the Bellissima. The evening was hosted by the simply stunning Holly Willoughby and we were treated to a performance by Italian singer,…

We’ve not long returned from a few days away in London. We’ve been lucky enough to visit London a good few times this year but I have to say these two days were possibly one of the best we’ve had. We travelled to our hotel on Friday morning, checked in and basically parked the car in the car-park for the duration of our stay. London transport is so easy to use and so frequent it’s the best way to get around. We got the DLR & Underground to the South Kensington so we could access the Natural History Museum. The queue into the museum was pretty lengthy but we decided not to venture off to do anything else because we had ice skating booked for a few hours time outside the museum. We didn’t get a huge amount of time to look around by the time we finished queuing so it’s definitely…

When we were recently on holiday, we were very excited to be invited to PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park Salou for the day. PortAventura was only a 20-minute walk from the hotel we were staying at. The resort is pretty massive featuring six of their own hotels plus two theme parks and the water park. After getting our bags checked over by security we had the obituary photo taken in front of the water fountain (along with everyone else haha) and headed off to the main entrance to the water park. Inside the main entrance, there is a shop which sells pretty much everything. In the event, you forget anything I’m sure you would be able to find it here – swimwear, sunglasses, suncreams, waterproof camera/phone cases, clothes, souvenirs… The first thing we did was queue up to rent a locker for the day. The queue was pretty big and I advise you do…

We have recently arrived home from a lovely family holiday in sunny Salou, Spain. We stayed in the Dorada Palace hotel in Salou and I thought I would do a blog post on my thoughts on the hotel. I haven’t been asked to write this review and we paid for the holiday ourselves but I always like to read other people opinions on places before we book anywhere and I find it helpful. We booked for a weeks stay the first week of August so the summer holidays were in the full swing with England, Ireland, and Scotland all on their school summer holidays. We booked a one bedroom apartment. For us having the extra space is important. Being a family of 4 with a big age gap between Lauren and Caiden we wanted to book something with a bit more space and the separate bedroom and living area. We…

I was recently invited by Princess Cruises for a special day onboard their beautiful Royal Princess. It was just ahead of her fifth birthday. Her godmother is Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge and almost 5 years to the date I stepped on her in Southampton Docks The Royal Princess christened her. It was a gorgeous sunny day the day I was due to spend the day with fellow bloggers on board and as I drove into the port, seeing the ship for the first time was actually breathtaking. She is beautiful. Royal Princess Piazza (Atrium): When we boarded the ship we arrived at the ships main atrium and was stunning. With her sweeping staircases and floating lights that looked like floating butterflies, I was excited to explore the rest of the Royal Princess. Accommodation: The Royal Princess has 1780 cabins in total and can accommodate up to 3560…

It’s felt like we’ve had such a long winter and I’m sure it’s not just me dreaming of family holidays, looking online and wanting some warmth on my face? I need some sun and I need some time out with the family to enjoy time together without the rat race of the day to day life. It feels like a lifetime ago since we went to Disneyland Paris last year, and although it was a lovely little few days away it was in February and in the minus figures weather wise. For our next holiday I definitely want some sun! I have been finding myself browsing the internet during the evenings looking at holiday companies, seeing what they have on offer and looking at where we might like to go. I think this year we won’t go too far, just a week perhaps somewhere within a few hours flight time.…

My Top Tips for Visiting Disneyland Paris in the Winter Months. It might be freezing cold but it won’t stop you from having a wonderful time. We went to Disneyland Paris in February last year and although the weather was cold we had a fantastic time and we didn’t let it spoil our time there. On the lead up to us going I was reading on some forums that fountains had frozen over, drinking water fountains had frozen pipes and all sorts. It was kind of handy to be honest because we have never been on a ‘cold’ holiday before so it enabled me to be prepared for our trip. I made sure I packed things that would help us on our trip and I thought they would be handy to share my tips and tricks with you if you have a trip planned for the colder months. Layers…

On Wednesday 4th October I was very excited to have been invited to #BlogCampOnBoard hosted by Tots 100, and MSC Cruises, on board the MSC Preziosa cruise liner. I had never been to a blogging conference before let alone on a cruise ship, hence my excitement. The MSC Preziosa was going to be docked in Southampton for the day so this gave us the chance to explore the ship as day guests as well as attend various blogging sessions if we wanted to. When I arrived at Southampton docks it wasn’t hard to spot where I needed to be. The Preziosa was absolutely beautiful and that was from afar. I couldn’t believe the size of her (not surprising seeing as she has 18 decks, 14 of which are for guests). The sun was already shining and it got me excited to get on board and explore what she had to offer.…

We visited Kidzania London last weekend for a Birthday treat for C. He was 5 on the Wednesday and seeing as it was his first week at school we decided to make it a nice weekend. Kidzania London is situated in Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd Bush. We’ve never been but I have heard lots about it. Kidaznia is basically an indoor city, just for kids. They have the opportunity to experience various different jobs and careers to earn money, have the chance to spend their earnings on fun activities or to open a bank account to save their cash. Kidzania is pretty easy to find. Westfield is a huge shopping centre and Kidznia is situated on the first floor by Marks & Spencers. When you arrive there is a desk opposite where you hand in your confirmation. I also assume you can buy tickets there as well, as long as…
