Here I am again ….. welcoming a new month. It’s crazy how this year is flying by.

Now that we’re into October and officially the Autumn it’s the countdown to Christmas for me! I totally love the Summer and adore the sunshine, but I must admit I do love this time of the year too. I love the darker evenings, the big cosy jumpers, scarves, gloves, hats, boots, hot chocolate to keep warm, walking in crunchy leaves, Halloween ….. Ahhh the list goes on ….. but I love it this side of Christmas the most. By the time January is here and Christmas is over I’m fairly keen to see Spring again. Back to the lighter evenings and the sun!

What has September been for us anyway … well the biggest event last month for us was C turning three! Our little boy celebrated his Birthday. I still can’t believe he’s three! He had a brilliant birthday weekend. On the Saturday, the day before his Birthday we had a little tea-party at home with a few friends and family and on Sunday the day of his actual Birthday we all went to Paultons Park & Peppa Pig World for the day with his Auntie & Uncle. We really did have such a great day – we’re very lucky to live so close to Paultons Park. C had a brilliant day – he loved meeting Peppa & George at the meet and greet when we arrived and we spent a good amount of time going on the rides there. Something that surprised us all though was he fearlessness in Paultons Park itself – he went on all the big rides he could and loved every minute of it! He’s definitely a little daredevil.

L has been doing really well in school this month as well. She’s been making use of the homework club after school to get her homework done which she finds easier than coming home and doing it. Once she’s home the afternoon and evening is hers to do what she likes then. She’s also joined Guides as well in the last few weeks – she seems to be really enjoying it and I think it’s good for her to have something outside of school to do so she can make some more friends.

The weather has been brilliant these past few weeks, it finally feels as though we’re getting the summer we should have had in August! I’ve been able to get lots of washing done and put on the line. You can’t beat it in my opinion!

I’ve also been finding my feet a bit better as well this month seeing as the school holidays are over. Ive been able to get out and about to lots of different groups with C and we’re both really enjoying being out of the house most days and socialising. We’ve also built up a nice little group of friends as well and mummy friends for me. It’s something i’ve been wanting to do since we moved.

We also found out at the beginning of the month my sister is expecting a baby boy – so in January I will have a Nephew 🙂 I was very lucky enough to join her for a scan this month. It was amazing to be able to see him before he is even here.

Have you had a good September?
