ABOUT US

I’m Lisa, the writer behind It’s a Blogs Life.

I have been married for 17 years and we have two children – Lauren who is 16 and Caiden who is 6.

We live on the South Coast in England, nothing beats living near the coast. I love where we live, we have so many lovely places to visit on our doorstep.

Lauren is in her final year of school and in a few months, she will be embarking on her GCSE journey. It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago she was a shy, timid not very confident little girl starting school and 12 years later she is very confident, very outgoing and very sociable. She has a great group of friends around her.

Caiden is in his second year at school and he too started off a little wobbly and he didn’t like me leaving him each morning, but he’s finally got there – we arrive at school of a morning now and he’s happy enough to say goodbye and I get lots of lovely smiles from him. It makes the school drop off so much better each morning. He’s a very loving, affectionate little boy and has recently learned how to ride a bike with no stabilisers. He’s doing brilliantly in school – he enjoys maths and his reading is excellent.

I have been writing on this blog for 4 years now and over the years it’s changed due to the nature of our family growing up. Back, in the beginning, it was more of a parenting blog focusing on both the children whilst they were little. As they’ve got older our passion for travelling and adventures has taken over and they are both at an age where we can experience different ventures and holidays and for that reason, I have a lot more travel and lifestyle focus on here. I do still obviously write about them, having their memories documented to look back on in years to come.
